'Star Wars: Battlefront' DLC release date in June; players taken to Cloud City
"Star Wars: Battlefront's" upcoming second DLC is expected to come out sometime next month. Before Electronic Arts (EA) DICE releases further details about the Bespin expansion, here is a roundup that gamers can expect from the newest DLC.
At the start of 2016, EA DICE announced its four DLC packs for "Star Wars: Battlefront. " The first of the four that was released earlier is called Outer Rim. Two more, including Bespin, will be released this year and the last one will come out next year.
The Bespin expansion brings gamers to Cloud City. Two characters will also be introduced in the add-on — Lando Calrissian and the bounty hunter Dengar. Plus, a number of new items will also be added.
Star Wars EA official site stated: "We're taking players in and around Cloud City, with four new maps for all of our most popular modes. You'll see AT-ATs in Cloud City, take to the skies in Fighter Squadron, and even spend time in a carbonite chamber. Of course, we're also adding more blasters and Star Cards, a new game mode, and two new iconic characters we're really excited about."
Cloud City is a place on planet Bespin, which was featured in the second installment of the original trilogy, "The Empire Strikes Back." It can be remembered that Han Solo was imprisoned in the said city. It is also where Luke Skywalker discovered that his real father is none other than Darth Vader.
The second DLC is confirmed to come out in June. However, not all gamers will be able to get their hands on it right away. Those who have the "Star Wars: Battlefront" Season Pass version will be given the privilege to access Bespin right away next month.
Those who want to have the DLC as a standalone add-on might not get the game by June because Season Pass holders usually get the expansion two weeks before the standalone expansion releases.
