The 10th season of Supernatural has released some spoilers in the last few weeks, but CW has released an official description of how season 10 will pan out.

It surely is a thrilling and exciting season for Supernatural fans as the premiere draws nearer, and fans are given a clearer vision of what to expect. The Winchester brothers ended season 9 of Supernatural with a predicament that needs a solution, and viewers can't wait to find out how Dean's resurrection as a demon will play out in the next season. Obviously, this will prove to be a challenge for Sam, and the description released by CW says just that.

"Season 10 begins with Sam's frantic search for his missing brother, who is gone without a trace. The road to recovering the wayward Dean takes Sam down dark paths, with consequences that will shake the boys to their core," wrote the network, as reported by Hypable.com.

Castiel (Misha Collins), whose character has been billed as a mainstay for the upcoming tenth season will also have a strong storyline in season 10. CW reveals that the angel will have to deal with threats from failing and rogue angels.

"Meanwhile, Castiel has to pick up the pieces in the aftermath of Metatron's campaign. With his grace failing and rogue angels still on the loose, Cass will face the ticking clock of his own mortality as all-new threats emerge to once again push all of our heroes to their limits." added the official description.
