After months of lying low, hitmaker Taylor Swift just recently returned on stage to perform a special show for the Formula 1 US Grand Prix on Sunday, Oct. 23. After her first show of the year, rumors have been spreading that she will be releasing her next studio album very soon.

After completing her high-grossing 1989 World Tour in December 2015, Taylor Swift was under the radar for most of 2016. Her high-profile relationships with "How Deep Is Your Love" producer and DJ Calvin Harris and "Thor" actor Tom Hiddleston made her visible in the press.

After the rumored breakup with Hiddleston, renewed rumors about her album have been making rounds on the internet. This year is the 10th anniversary of her debut self-titled album's release, which earned her a Best New Artist nomination in the 2008 Grammy Awards.

When it comes to releasing new albums, Swift is known to drop new material every other year in the fall season. Since it has been two years since the singer released "1989," fans and critics are expecting for her sixth full-length album to come out sometime this month or next month.

Rumors of a new Taylor Swift album intensified after her first concert in 2016 at the Formula 1 US Grand Prix, with half of the set list came from the fifth album. Despite the speculations, CEO of Swift's label Big Machine Scott Borchetta has responded via Twitter with a "Nope," when asked about the rumored October release. Although the tweet has since been deleted, the response was for October so it is possible that a November or December release is still in the cards.

However, it can be remembered that after the conclusion of the 1989 World Tour, Swift told NME that she wanted to take a break and that could mean for a while. "I think I should take some time off. I think people might need a break from me," she said. "I'm going to... I don't know. Hang out with my friends. Write new music. Maybe not write new music. I don't know."
