It's been a roller coaster ride for both fans and the characters alike in the sixth season of "Teen Wolf." After spending most of this season in the dark, Sheriff Stilinski finally remembered Stiles' existence and — perhaps more importantly — Stiles' first name.

The recently concluded eighth episode of "Teen Wolf" season 6, titled "Blitzkrieg," saw a lot of characters fall victim to the Ghost Riders. But the most exciting part of it all was when Sheriff Stilinski (Linden Ashby) finally remembered the truth about his life: his wife is dead, and he has a son. He proceeded to tell Scott (Tyler Posey) and the others about this newly realized informaton, and informed them of his son's name: Mieczyslaw Stilinski.

This is a pivotal moment in the world of "Teen Wolf" since Stiles' real name was never revealed until now. It is unknown why showrunner Jeff Davis chose the final season of the MTV drama series to reveal his first name, but it is clear why he chose the complicated Polish name Mieczyslaw. Davis previously teased that the word "mischief" was a hint as to what Stiles' first name is.

"A few years ago, I knew I would have to actually reveal Stiles's name at some point. I was looking for a Polish name that was incredibly difficult to both spell and pronounce," Davis told Entertainment Weekly. "Mieczyslaw sounded like 'mischief.' It seemed like a perfect word to describe Stiles. Both as a mischievous child and equally misbehaved adult."

Fans are eagerly awaiting the return of Dylan O'Brien, who plays Stiles, after spending most of the sixth and final season of "Teen Wolf" away. It can be recalled that O'Brien suffered an injury while filming for a movie, which hindered him from proceeding with his work commitments.

As for the upcoming episode of "Teen Wolf" season 6, Scott, Lydia (Holland Roden), and Malia (Shelley Hennig) will put their plan to remember Stiles into action. In the meantime, Liam (Dylan Sprayberry) and Theo (Cody Christian) will act as decoys. Titled "Memory Found," it certainly seems like everyone will finally remember Stiles.
