"Teen Wolf" season 6B might see the return of Tyler Hoechlin as Derek Hale. His character last appeared in the season 4 finale, where he apparently died. There are also speculations that Scott (Jeff Davis) will meet his new love in the second half of the season.

Rumors about Hoechlin returning to the series started to emerge after a fan posted on Instagram a video of the actor on the set of "Teen Wolf" season 6B. In the video, Hoechlin was filming with another returning actor, Dylan O'Brien.

As of now, the creators of the series have not yet confirmed if Hoechlin will indeed make his final appearance before the series rolls its final credits. Asked about his reunion video with O'Brien and his possible return, the actor told Teen Wolf News, "All I can say at the moment is that the resourcefulness of fans never ceases to amaze me."

In the series, Derek was the former mentor of Scott whose relationship with his apprentice turned sour when he joined the Alpha. Despite their individual differences, however, they managed to fight alongside each other when faced with supernatural threats.

In the final episode of season 4, Scott and the team battled with Kate (Jill Wagner) and the Berserker Army, where Derek got killed and evolved into a werewolf shortly afterwards. He ran away from Beacon Hills with Braeden (Meagan Tandy) and never returned since then.

Meanwhile, season 6B is rumored to introduce a new romantic storyline for Scott. Davis previously revealed that the final 10 episodes of the series would see him transform into a man wolf after being a teen wolf in the first half of the season. Since season 6A featured him as a single guy, and since Melissa (Melissa Ponzio) and Stiles (O'Brien) have already found their own sweethearts, there are speculations that the series will end with Scott also meeting the love of his life.

MTV has not yet announced when "Teen Wolf" season 6 will return for its 11th episode, but it is expected to arrive sometime in summer.
