'The Big Bang Theory' season 10 episode 12 synopsis, release date: Sheldon and Amy travel to Texas for the holidays
When CBS' hit sitcom "The Big Bang Theory" returns for the rest of season 10 next year, an episode will be dedicated to Sheldon (Jim Parsons) and Amy's (Mayim Bialik) trip to Texas.
In "The Big Bang Theory" season 10 episode 12, which is titled "The Holiday Summation Guide," the eccentric couple will retell their vacation stories to their best friends Leonard (Johnny Galecki) and Penny (Kaley Cuoco). According to the synopsis for the episode, Sheldon and Amy had a terrible time during their trip. And perhaps narrating their adventures would be cathartic for the couple.
After Bernadette (Melissa Rauch) gave birth to her baby girl, Hallie, the couples decided to go their separate ways for the holidays. During Sheldon and Amy's trip to his hometown, he admits to his mother that they have been living together for a while. May (Laurie Metcalf), who is a devout Catholic with traditional values, would be disappointed by her son's recent choice.
Little do Sheldon and Amy know that even Leonard and Penny had a pretty disenchanting Christmas. Both of them started the day with a lot of excitement, planning to decorate their apartment with their first Christmas tree. As they were picking out a tree to chop, they both realize how different they are in terms of decision making.
Furthermore, the recent parents Howard (Simon Helberg) and Bernadette spend Christmas taking care of their newborn, trying to calm her down. The pair, however, will have trouble stopping the wails of their baby girl.
In an interview with TV Line, showrunner Steve Molaro confirmed that the show will not feature Hallie. Viewers will only know her by her unstoppable cries, which is a trait inspired from Mrs. Wolowitz (Carol Ann Susi).
"Big Bang Theory" is currently on a short break. It returns with episode 12 on CBS this Jan. 5, at 8 p.m. EST.
