"The Blacklist" will be off the air for several weeks. And when the series returns fans, might see Liz walk down the aisle and be Mrs. Tom Keen again. But will Red do his version of the Red Wedding and stop the nuptials?

Red (James Spader) had always been openly hostile against Tom (Ryan Eggold) and has constantly warned Liz (Megan Boone) about him. But how far will he go to keep Tom and Liz apart? A trailer for episode 17 hints that the criminal mastermind might be willing to do whatever it takes.

Viewers can immediately hear the opening strains of the wedding march as the trailer rolls. Liz is seen putting on makeup and is surprised to see Red. But when she asked if he was there for the wedding, Red says no and begs Liz not to go through with it. As Red explains that Tom "is not the man you think he is," Liz is seen entering a chapel in her wedding dress. Tom appears happy as Aram (Amir Arison) and Cooper (Harry Lennix) look on.

The trailer teases the episode as a Red Wedding, a clever play on the protagonist's name and the infamous, and bloody, "Game of Thrones" wedding. The Keen's nuptials might indeed be headed that way as Red and several men converge outside and he is handed a gun. The teaser ends with Liz in tears.

Unfortunately, fans would have to wait a month before they can learn what happens as the show is going on quite a long break.

The hiatus is no doubt frustrating for avid fans of "The Blacklist" as there were several shocking developments in the previous episode, most notably Liz's discovery that her mother is still alive and might even be looking for her. There's also Dembe's (Hisham Tawfiq) intriguing appeal to Red to come clean to Liz since "she deserves the truth" and his burning of an important letter.

Whether Red will finally come clean to Liz remains to be seen. But what is certain is that when "The Blacklist" returns, so will Mr. Solomon (Edi Gathegi). Reports have said that the Cabal's cleaner is set to return in episode 17, and this does not bode well for Red, Dembe or Liz.

"The Blacklist" season 3 will return with a new episode on April 7 on NBC.
