(Facebook/NBCBlacklist)Red and Tom will work with Hargrave and Mr. Solomon in order to catch Alexander Kirk.

Ever since Elizabeth Keen (Megan Boone) died, there have been rumors and speculations that NBC is planning a spin-off to one of its popular series. Recently, the network has confirmed those rumors and greenlighted the project, calling it "The Blacklist: Redemption."

"The Blacklist: Redemption" will focus on the lives of Susan "Scottie" Hargrave (Famke Janssen) and Tom Keen (Ryan Eggold).

The past and upcoming episodes of "The Blacklist" is making sure that the transition is going smoothly. Liz's death is the start, and last week, Red (James Spader) revealed a shocking truth to Tom that Scottie is actually his biological mother. However, the truth is not yet known to Scottie, who still believes that her son is already dead. Tom, on the other hand, followed Red's order not to reveal the truth to his mother.

NBC has already shared the synopsis for "Blacklist: Redemption" and it says that Tom will team up with the brilliant and shrewd Grey Matters chief Susan "Scottie" Hargrave in hunting down some of the world's most notorious criminals. The synopsis also added that while hunting down the bad guys, "Tom begins his own mission to find out more about his shadowy past."

"The Blacklist: Redemption" will be copying the dynamics between Red and Elizabeth in "The Blacklist," but this time, it will be between Tom and Scottie. As the truth has already been revealed, fans should no longer expect any romantic thoughts.

Aside from Janssen and Eggold, Edi Gathegi and Tawny Cypress will join the team and reprise their roles as Matias Solomon and Nez Rowan respectively.

Meanwhile, Red and Scottie will join forces in the finale episode of "Blacklist" season 3 to hunt down Alexander Kirk (Ulrich Thomsen), Red's nemesis. It has been revealed that Kirk was the one who killed Elizabeth.

The finale episode of "The Blacklist" season 3 which is titled "Alexander Kirk: Conclusion" will be aired on Thursday, May 19, 9 p.m. EST on NBC.
