'The Division's' 'Underground' DLC releasing June 28 for Xbox One and PC
At Microsoft's recently concluded Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2016 press conference, the release date for the first paid expansion for the game "The Division" was outlined. More importantly, the expansion, which is titled "Underground," will be arriving on June 28 first for players who purchased the game for the Xbox One and PC.
The release date of the first paid expansion in the game was expected so it did not come as a surprise for many. However, there was some confusion about the release of the expansion for the PC, which was subsequently set right by the developer Ubisoft and reported by GameSpot. According to the report, because of an agreement between Microsoft and Ubisoft, the "Underground" expansion will be arriving first on the Xbox One and PC. Then almost a month later, on August 2, players who bought the expansion for the PlayStation 4 will get their hands on it.
WCCFTech also states that in the "Underground" expansion, the action will move under the city of New York. However, the area underground is as deadly as the area above ground, and here, players will have to pass through subways that have been generated randomly. Also, with the "Underground" expansion, a free update will be made available for those who bought the game and it will also have new challenge mode missions and a brand new level of difficulty for missions in the main game.
Additionally, as Ubisoft provided information about the upcoming "Underground" DLC, it also revealed details about the next two. These two are titled "Survival" and "Last Stand," and while no release date has been revealed for them, the developer stated that "Survival" would be arriving sometime during the summer. The developer also gave more information about "Survival" and stated that it would bring with it a new way of playing the game. A teaser trailer for this particular expansion also outlined that it would be set in a blizzard in which players will have to scavenge to collect any resources that they need.
