They say good things come to those that wait. And for fans of "The Flash," good things are certainly ahead as they will soon be introduced to a new speedster and will see the return of an old favourite.

"The Flash" season 2 is on a short hiatus but will soon return to find Barry (Grant Gustin) faced off against an attractive enemy. A synopsis for episode 16 found on IB Times teased that Barry and the rest of the Star Labs team will "encounter an unexpected speedster who is up to no good" while they're out on the town. Meanwhile, Iris (Candice Patton) is given a challenging assignment by her new boss (Tone Bell), but the friction between them soon turns to attraction.

A trailer for the upcoming episode, "Trajectory," starts with Cisco (Carlos Valdes) all excited about the appearance of a lady speedster. The next scene shows the Flash seen on the ground looking up at a female speedster who's dressed in red spandex and wearing a mask. Cisco asks if "she's good looking." After showing the new arrival punching him in the face, the clip ends with Barry telling his friend he'll try to get her number next time.

Actress Allison Paige has been tapped to portray Trajectory and her alter ego, Eliza Harmon, in the episode. The character is described as an "exceptionally bright scientist" with a split personality. She's also a thief who will be causing trouble for Barry as people start to mistake her for the Flash.

Trajectory appears to be faster than the Flash, which might be one more reason why Barry will travel back in time, as he's reported to do in episode 17. But as the show has proven, time travel is a tricky thing, as Barry will come face to face with an old friend.

TV Line reported that in his desperation to find a way to become faster in order to defeat Zoom, "Barry decides to travel back in time and masquerade as his earlier self in order to get his arch-nemesis, Dr. Harrison Wells/Eobard Thawne, to teach him how to run faster." But his voyage into the past has him facing his old friend Eddie Thawne (Rick Cosnett), as well as an old enemy, Hartley Rathaway (Andy Mientus).

This will undoubtedly be a great episode for avid fans and luckily for them, there might be more opportunities for episodes like this now that "The Flash" has already been picked up for another season by The CW.

"The Flash" season 2 will return to TV screens on March 22.
