'The Flash' spoilers: Reverse Flash debuts next episode; see who tends to metahumans in S.T.A.R labs
"The Flash" has been sorely missed by ardent fans who seek their daily dose of the lightning fast Barry Allen as he fights super-villains. The good news is, the wait won't be long anymore as the show comes back on Tuesday with an action-packed episode.
In episode 15 "Out Of Time", Mark Gordon has survived the black matter explosion and wishes to avenge his brother Clyde's death. Joe is his target and unfortunately he is endowed with the same weather-manipulting qualities as his brother. DC comic book fans will finally see the Weather Wizard in action. Other supervillains such as The Trickster, Captain Cold and Heat Wave will be seen on upcoming episodes.
However, cast and crew of "The Flash" spilled the beans on the future of The Flash at the PaleyFest held in Los Angeles last week. The panel teased that viewers will see The Reverse Flash debut on Tuesday's episode, according to TVLine. Cisco begins to question Dr Wells and reflects on the night they caught The Reverse Flash. He realizes that something doesn't quite add up. Meanwhile, the panel said writers want to introduce comic book character Wally West, also known as Kid Flash in the show's second season. The emergence of the third version of The Flash is certainly something to look forward to.
The executive producers also teased that the show is looking into borrowing a major story line from the comics, reports TVGuide. Crisis on Infinite Earths story is a rumoured arc, but details of the major story weren't given away. What was revealed was that all elements of the pilot would pay off by the season's end.
Fans will finally see who tends to metahumans in S.T.A.R labs and the moral implications of them playing judge and jury will be looked into. Upcoming episodes will also show the ramifications of time-travel. The show's producer, Andrew Kreisberg, posed the question, "If the past changes, does the present change as well?"
Mama West's story will also be explored in season two. Eddie Thawne's connection to Reverse Flash will also be seen in the second half of season one.
"The Flash" airs on Tuesdays from March 17 onwards at 8 p.m. on CW.
