Things are getting out of hand and President Jeffrey Michener (Mark Moses) is feeling all the pressure in the upcoming episode of "The Last Ship."

In the episode titled "Devil May Care," CarterMatt reports that the American leader is not getting love over the continued worsening of the situation, both with the Chinese and XO Mike Slattery's (Adam Baldwin) kidnapping. Things have been going downhill ever since six Navy men were abducted while conducting a humanitarian mission in Asia. With Captain Tom Chandler (Eric Dane) busy handling diplomatic talks in behalf of the president, Slattery became in charge of the cure's distribution. Everything was going okay, until pirates invaded the USS Nathan James and captured them.

On the other hand, Chandler's encounter with Chinese president Peng Wu (Fernando Chien) quickly became ugly when he accused him of hoarding the cure. News has reached the United States that people are dying all throughout Asia because of the lack of a cure. Since the Americans know the cure has been delivered to most of the countries, they realized that someone must have been toying with them. Chandler believes it is the Chinese, but their leader keeps blocking him with the investigation. The Asian country is even threatening to go to war if the U.S. will not leave them alone.

Because of everything that has been happening, Michener is slowly running out of options. The promo shows that the pirates are getting tired of Slattery and his men. It is only a matter of time until they are assassinated. Chandler, on the other hand, has decided to infiltrate Peng's property. With or without Michener's permission, the move will spell disaster for the U.S. The Chinese leader is not playing fair and he will make sure that the enemy will not escape his retribution if caught. What will the Americans do?
