Although Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) has succeeded in taking revenge against the Mikaelsons in the season 3 finale of "The Originals" and is expected to continue his revenge when season 4 begins airing, it is said that it's not all hate for the character for its upcoming season.

According to the latest reports, "The Originals" season 4 will be ushering in a new character, Sofya (Taylor Cole). Reportedly, Sofya is a highly sought vampire in the black market because of the set of skills that she has. While she is only loyal to herself, she can lend her services to the one who can pay the highest price: Marcel, in this case. Allegedly, while the relationship between Marcel and Sofya will begin as nothing more than business, the two will eventually become intimate and personal as they form a romantic partnership.

However, Marcel falling in love is not the only thing to be watched out for in "The Originals" season 4. Based on "The Originals" writer Michelle Paradise Twitter post, "The Originals" season 4 will involve blood spills, kisses, magic, and vows. Additionally, as it is rumored that certain characters from "The Vampire Diaries" are crossing over to "The Originals," there is no denying that things will even be more exciting for the vampire series.

According to reports, Matt Davis, who plays the role of Alaric in "The Vampire Diaries," is appearing for an episode of "The Originals" season 4. Earlier reports claim that Alaric will be traveling to "The Originals'" New Orleans to hand over an artifact to Elijah Mikaelson (Daniel Gillies) that is suspected to help Klaus (Joseph Morgan) in his ordeal.

Rumors also claim that Candice Accola King's Caroline is crossing over to "The Originals" as well for the purpose of helping Klaus, too. It is said, though, that the reunion between Klaus and Caroline, who have a romantic past in "The Vampire Diaries," will not spark anything between the two. After all, Caroline is expected to marry Stefan (Paul Wesley) in the coming episodes of "The Vampire Diaries" season 8.

It is also said that former "The Vampire Diaries" lead star Nina Dobrev is appearing in "The Originals." However, she will not be playing her major character on the said series, Elena Gilbert, and will instead play the role of one of her character's doppelgangers, Tatia.

"The Originals" season 4 is set to begin airing over The CW on March 17, 2017.
