'The Originals' season 4 spoilers, air date: Kol and Rebekah to bond over family struggles
The Mikaelsons were always bound for a huge fall, and in the previous season of "The Originals," fans saw just that. Despite all the struggles that the family is going through, two siblings will lean on each other for strength: Kol and Rebekah.
Obviously, Klaus (Joseph Morgan) won't really be saved just yet since he has to suffer the consequences of the many years he spent in selfishness. With Elijah (Daniel Gillies) and Freya (Riley Voelkel) somehow indirectly involved in Davina's (Danielle Campbell) passing, it's only Kol (Nathaniel Buzolic) and Rebekah (Claire Holt) who can trust each other for now.
Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, showrunner Julie Plec revealed that these two will find themselves considering the possibilities of peaceful living outside the "Originals" brood. She says: "Rebekah, like her siblings, has gotten caught up into the unified family takedown and spent five years in an alternate reality and is now back once again with that same choice she always has: What is my life supposed to be outside this crazy family." Plec added that Kol has the same sentiments.
"The two of them are going to bond in a way that we haven't gotten to see so much about what their future is in this family and how much of this crazy they're expected to live through," she explained.
As for Klaus, there's still a lot to think over for the fallen Mikaelson and New Orleans leader. It is already expected that he will face off against Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) in the near future but that's not all since he will also have to meet his daughter, Hope (Summer Fontana), who has not seen him for the past five years.
Will the father-and-daughter pair bond well when they meet or will there be gripes from Hope's side after growing up without a father figure to lead her through life?
Meanwhile, fans are very worried about how "The Originals" will continue, now that it's mother show, "The Vampire Diaries," will be coming to an end this year. On the other hand, there are rumors suggesting that Netflix will most likely pick up the hit series even if The CW decides to give it the dreaded ax.
According to Netflix Life, the two networks have agreed that "The Originals" season four will air on the streaming giant's network eight days after The CW wraps up the installment. This then, is just the beginning of a deal between the show and Netflix, should the original network decide to cancel "The Originals" for good.
"The Originals" season four is slated for a premiere sometime early 2017 on The CW.
