'The Originals' season 4 spoilers, news, updates: Salvatore brothers to drop by New Orleans?

(Facebook/The Originals)Recent reports suggest that 'The Originals' season 4 will see a visit from the Salvatore brothers.

In a couple of months, "The Originals" season 4 will finally start airing and recent reports are pointing to the potential appearance of the Salvatore brothers in the upcoming installment.

"The Vampire Diaries" will wrap up its story very soon, but fans are speculating that Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Stefan (Paul Wesley) will drop by New Orleans one last time. The rumors have yet to be confirmed by showrunner Julie Plec.

If Damon and Stefan will indeed visit the vampires and witches in New Orleans, fans can expect an exciting scene in "The Originals" season 4. This is especially true if Klaus (Joseph Morgan) will be freed from his pain-induced coma by then. Damon and Stefan may even contribute to Klaus' awakening if their rumored New Orleans visit goes well.

Stefan and Damon's visit to the other side may also pave the way for other characters from "The Vampire Diaries" to move over to "The Originals." Season 4 may see a huge reunion between some of the most popular characters in both shows. This could mean that Klaus and Caroline (Candice King) may also be reunited.

Meanwhile, fans are also looking forward to the performance of Christina Moses, who has recently been added to the cast of "The Originals" season 4. She will be playing the role of Keelin, whose story is quite intriguing for fans.

Keelin is an ER doctor who is the last living werewolf in her pack. Fearing a tragic fate, she has been living away from people but she may soon be forced to face the world.

"The Originals" season 4 is also expected to see the highly anticipated and emotional reunion between Hope (Summer Fontana) and Klaus. The father-and-daughter duo have been separated for years and their reunion will mean a lot to viewers who have been following the series since the beginning.

"The Originals" season 4 premieres March 17, 2017 on The CW.
