Kim Richards has become the center of controversy, and this time it's not just because of her on-going feud with sister, Kyle Richards. Kim was arrested on Thursday and is expected to appear at a hearing in May.

Daily News reports that the reality star was allegedly intoxicated with alcohol when hotel staff at a Beverly Hills hotel asked her to leave. Despite multiple requests to exit the premises, Richards stayed, forcing staff to call the police. Police arrived and asked Richards to leave her bathroom at around 1.30 a.m. She was dragged out and reportedly kicked a cop's leg. The star stayed the whole night in lock-up and was released at around 10.30 a.m. the next day. "The Real Housewives Of Beverley Hills" cast member is facing several charges that include trespassing, resisting an officer, battery on a police officer and public drunkenness. Kim is scheduled to appear in court on May 10, 2015.

The television personality's sobriety has been called into question many times by other cast members in numerous episodes of season five. Even her sister, Kyle Richards, has accused her of being drunk and addicted to alcohol. While attempts to help her deal with alcoholism have been futile, Kim will discuss her issues in the Dr. Phil talk show on Tuesday, April 28. Snippets of the exclusive interview depict the star telling Phil that she was angry, scared and frightened. She admits that whatever happened the night of her arrest was her fault and that it was caused as a result of drinking.

However, Kim's alcoholism may not be the only problem she needs to deal with. Radar Online reports that Kim may be broke since she is allegedly unable to pay for her daughter's wedding. The groom is reportedly shelling out the funds for the lavish affair. The report also states that despite her high-profile arrest, Kim's daughter will go ahead with her wedding plans with her mother in attendance.
