Norman Reedus shot to fame when he joined AMC's "The Walking Dead." He is mostly known as the badass, bow and arrow-yielding, and motorcycle-riding Daryl Dixon. Now, he will bring his motorcycle badassery to a new show.

In latest season of "The Walking Dead," Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) has barely left his motorcycle. And he - or at leat the actor who plays him - will be doing more of that sitting and riding the motorbike with the new reality television series, tentatively titled "Ride with Norman Reedus."

"Ride with Norman Reedus" will also be aired on AMC and will have its pilot episode in 2016. It is a mini-reality series consisting of six episodes that run for an hour each. Each episode will showcase motorcycle craftsmen, collectors, and mechanics all over the United States.

Sharing his passion for motorbikes this time out, Reedus will be partnered with a riding companion to go from city-to-city and exploring the city destination's motorcycle culture. Some of the things that he and his riding companion will explore are of course custom shops, a collector's warehouse, and maybe even tattoo parlours.

Reedus says of his latest project (as quoted by Entertainment Weekly), "I'm incredibly excited and thankful to AMC for giving me the opportunity to share a passion of mine with our fans, and hopefully a whole new audience. I had a lot of fun filming and exploring, and I hope it shows."

Even AMC's president of original programming Joel Stillerman is excited about the new venture with the 46-year old actor, saying he love that the network can be home to the actor's "passion project."

He says of the choice to create the show, "[Reedus] is an avid rider and aficionado who is deeply immersed in motorcycle culture. There is also nobody more fun to hang out with. This show will bring those two elements together for a weekly ride into the incredible world of motorcycles and the people who live and breathe them."

Rest assured, though, Reedus will have plenty of time in-between "The Walking Dead" and his new show. So "Ride" is no reason to freak out fans and have them thinking that Daryl will soon be leaving the show.

"Ride with Norman Reedus" is expected in 2016. Meanwhile, "The Walking Dead" season six is still ongoing, with new episodes airing on AMC every Sunday night.
