When "Fast & Furious" first burst into the scene, no one could have predicted that this movie about fast cars and family would create some of Hollywood's biggest stars, lead to several hit movies and end up being a ride at Universal Studios.

Universal Studios Hollywood has finally unveiled the "Fast & Furious Supercharged" ride, giving fans the chance to experience what it is like to ride with Dominic Toretto and his crew.

The "Fast & Furious Supercharged" ride is Universal Studios Hollywood's grand finale to their behind-the-scenes tour. The park's newest ride will let visitors see "the high-stakes underground world of street racing at perceived speeds of 120 mph." Aside from Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel), "Supercharged" also stars Letty (Michelle Rodriguez), Hobbs (Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson) and Roman (Tyrese Gibson) in a fresh storyline.

Visitors sitting in the tram are surrounded by a 360-degree, 400-foot screen that gives riders a three-dimensional view of Los Angeles which is further enhanced by 3D glasses. And despite the fact that the "Fast & Furious" ride is stationary, visitors are so immersed in it that they will feel that they are traveling at 120 mph. At one point, the ride will jump a bridge across a river and visitors will get splashed by water too. Universal Studios described "Supercharged" as the world's largest flight simulator, which it is in essence.

Universal Studios Hollywood's president Larry Kurzweil told visitors that they "are thrilled to bring Universal's incredibly compelling film franchise to life."

"Fast & Furious Supercharged" has been getting a lot of good reviews from both park visitors and the movie's stars.

Gibson, one of the stars of the movie explains why the ride is so unique.

"When you put people in a theater or [they watch] a blue ray DVD, they are watching in the comfort of their home," he explains. "But to physically be inside a tram car and experience your favorite franchise as a theme park ride, it definitely raises the bar."
