Video of Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson smoking marijuana upsets fans
A video has leaked showing two members of the world-famous boy band, One Direction, smoking what seems to be a marijuana cigarette.
21-year-old Zayn Malik, and 22-year-old Louis Tomlinson were caught on camera smoking weed, passing around a marijuana cigarette. While goofing around, members of the band even referred to the police escort riding with their SUV as "that's the po-po."
"We are leaving Peru. Joint lit. Happy days," says Louis Tomlinson from behind the camera as he points it towards Zayn. Louis then asked his bandmate "do you think this is controversial content?"
The two were driven around nearby Lima's Estadio Nacional where the British boy band performed for a crowd of 40,000 fans as part of their Where We Are tour.
Louis Tomlinson even blurted out a racial slur when convincing some of his friends to smoke.
"It's only green, nig!" Tomlinson was heard saying. After getting a few puffs, Tomlinson pondered if the video will ever "get back" at him. Now that The Daily Mail has released the video, it seems that it did.
"I'm just wondering now, we're sitting here in Peru. Will this come back to me? Who knows? Maybe. Maybe not," quips Tomlinson in the recording.
In Peru, possession and consumption of marijuana is not punishable by law as long as the amount does not exceed 8 grams.
On the other hand, fans of the boy band were enraged after seeing the boys light up. Some of their fans even "destroyed" their tickets because of the disappointment they felt after seeing their idols in the video.
"I love One Direction but this zouis smoking thing is sad. Why would they do that. It's all messed up." wrote the user @1_dimages on Twitter.
