Jana Duggar news: '19 Kids And Counting' Josh Duggar molestation case renews attention on Jana Duggar

(TLC/Facebook)

In light of the molestation issue pressed against the eldest Duggar son, Jana Duggar has been thrown in the spotlight, with supporters telling her to leave the house and live her own life.

Just recently, reports of abuse against Josh Duggar had surfaced and while the news did not specifically point at his sisters being the victims, the police report available online seems to throw more light on the issue.

Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar have addressed the molestation case by issuing a formal press release saying: "Back 12 years ago our family went through one of the most difficult times of our lives. When Josh was a young teenager, he made some very bad mistakes, and we were shocked. We had tried to teach him right from wrong. That dark and difficult time caused us to seek God like never before."

The release never mentioned about what happened to the sisters, and the kind of help and counseling they received. Fans of the show took to social media in order to show their support for the sister, with Jana being their focus as she is the only grown-up Duggar daughter to have remained unmarried.

Jana, often dubbed as Cinderella Duggar, has stayed at home and some have drawn the conclusion that she is on part with a maid, having to take care of most of her siblings. Numerous fans have been sending tweets with some stating:

"who will join me and @pencilanduke on a rescue mission to kidnap jana duggar and save her from oppression????? lol... i'm kidding. kind of." said @jessicakathryn

"Jana, Jill, Jessa, Jinger and Joy, run far away from your family and Josh Duggar! The further you are the better. irls, speak up about this" said @alwaysafanx

"@jana_duggar honey this your chance! Run away and be free!! The world welcomes you!!!!" said cappycann09

Apart from the official press release by Josh and Jim Bob and Michelle Duggars, there has been no statement forthcoming from any of the sisters, including Jana Duggar.
