'19 Kids and Counting's' Josh Duggar may face legal challenge from one of his victims

After everything his parents did to ensure he would not have to face a judge, Josh Duggar might still be dragged to court as one of his molestation victims is reportedly filing a civil suit against him.

Life appeared to be returning to normal for the Duggar family but according to InTouch, Josh's unnamed victim is finally seeking justice for what happened to her.

A source says the Duggar scandal has disturbed a lot of people but it was worse for the victim who "had to relive this nightmare all over again after watching Josh's parents go on TV and whitewash what happened."

The criminal statute of limitations for the case has admittedly already expired, but Josh's victim can still file a civil suit. Arkansas law allows for legal action to be filed even after years have passed since the incident, especially if the victim starts to suffer from symptoms of sexual abuse.

The civil case would pose a big problem for Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar as they could be forced to testify, plus they would not be able to plead the fifth since there is no threat that they will be prosecuted.

Essentially, the Duggar's could be compelled to reveal all the details, like how long they have been aware of the molestation and how often it happened. Jim Bob could also be forced to reveal his relationship with the trooper he took Josh to, as well as the names of other church members who knew about the molestation.

Jim Bob and Michelle could also be cited as defendants for failing to do something about their son.

Jason Files, a lawyer from Little Rock, explains that the Duggars could be charged with civil conspiracy, wherein a "crime should have been reported to the authorities" but was not.
