Adam Levine admits he acted in "Begin Again" pro bono

While some stars are racking up millions and millions for starring roles in huge films, Maroon 5 singer Adam Levine revealed that his role in the movie "Begin Again" was done completely for free.
Begin Again, the John Carney-anticipated film that will feature some of the biggest stars in Hollywood and in the music scene, has included The Voice judge and Maroon 5 singer Adam Levine in its cast.
Though many anticipated that the singer was paid heaps of money for his part as "Dave," the singer revealed that he didn't get a single cent from it, and it was his choice not to get anything.
"I did this movie for no money. I'm very lucky that I'm in that position," Levine told USA Today in an interview to promote the movie, which was premiered on June 27.
"I want to have good experiences. I don't want to do a bunch of s--t that I hate. I want to treat [acting] completely differently because I have the very fortunate luxury of not having to think of this in terms of money," added the singer in the same USA Today interview, as reported by E! Online.
Levine has always been wary of his arrogant attitude, and during a recent interview with GQ magazine, he confidently revealed that he has no qualms in having this kind of reputation.
"I'm not the easiest person to love right off the bat, you know. If I knew everyone in the world, they would love me. Every single last f--king one of them."
