The season 3 of "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." has finally concluded, and while it ended with the heartbreaking deaths of Daisy's (Chloe Bennet) past and present series lovers — Grant/Hive (Brett Dalton) and Lincoln (Luke Mitchell) — the actual surprises of the episode were the sneak peek scenes to what season 4 would be about.

As the episode flashed forward six months into the future, viewers saw a rogue Daisy, with Coulson (Clark Gregg) and Mack (Henry Simmons) trying to catch her. What's even more surprising was when Coulson revealed that he is no longer the director of the Strategic Hazard Intervention Espionage Logistics Directorate (S.H.I.E.L.D.).

And just when things could not get any more exciting for the fans, a scene of Doctor Radcliffe (John Hannah) made the final blow, when he revealed that he was about to launch a program labeled "LMD Phase 1," as the silhouette of a female humanoid was exhibited behind a glass door.

Life-Model Decoy (LMD), reports explain, is a duplicate of an existing human being, kind of like what fans believed the Koenig (Patton Oswalt) brothers were. With the tone of Radcliffe's scene, it looks like fans could expect that the doctor's version of LMD might bring more trouble than good.

In an interview with IGN, Jed Whedon, executive producer of the show, intensifies the importance of Radcliffe's season 4 presence and his LMD inventions: "We can say very little, but we can say Radcliffe, he has a good heart, but he's dead set on scientific advancement. He thinks he's solving a problem right now, and he says, 'Fitz and Simmons had friends die, maybe they didn't have to.' I think he thinks there might be a solution to some of these problems they've faced. Whether or not he's creating a solution or a new problem, we'll have to wait [and] see."

"Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D" season 4 will begin in fall, on a new timeslot in ABC.
