Not a lot is known about "Alien: Covenant," including its story. However, the official Twitter account of the "Alien" anthology franchise has been releasing a steady stream of photo teasers about the upcoming film. The latest one sees Danny McBride in action.

Captioned "Mission Briefing," the photo sees McBride listening to film director Ridley Scott, presumably about how the scene will play out. The two are standing on set, which looks to be a control room of some sort or another. The photo marks the first look at McBride in the new film.

Another photo was released a week prior and it sees Michael Fassbender listening intently to Scott. Fassbender played the role of David the Android in the first installment of the prequel series. Here, David seems to be sporting a different look. In the first film, David donned blonde hair, but Fassbender's locks are much darker in this photo. Additionally, it also sees a yellow helmet, which is similar to the ones featured in the first "Aliens" franchise. In the previous film, the explorers wore a different type of helmet.

Back in May, the same Twitter account released a first look at Daniels, played by Katherine Waterston, who is a new character. The photo was captioned, "Nowhere to run," which can only mean that the particular scene had something to do with the alien creatures chasing after her.

As for the only human who survived "Prometheus," Dr. Elizabeth Shaw, previous reports have claimed that she won't be returning for the sequel. However, Deadline has exclusively learned from their sources that Noomi Rapace, who played the character, has been spotted filming scenes in Australia.

"Alien: Covenant" is the sequel to "Prometheus," which was the first film in the prequel series to the "Alien" franchise. The sequel will premiere in U.S. theaters on Aug. 4, 2017.
