AMD is still mum about the details of the next-generation Radeon RX 570 graphics processing unit, but recent reports claim that the upcoming graphics card will come out with Samsung's soon-to-be-released gaming laptop.

Those who attended the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2017 early this month noticed that Samsung mentioned that its upcoming Notebook Odyssey laptop will be equipped with the GTX 1070 or the AMD Radeon RX 570 GPU.

Since the American semiconductor manufacturer has yet to talk about a new Radeon product, gadget watchers were unsure if the information that Samsung presented was correct.

Reddit user crazybubba64 claims that he talked to a Samsung representative during the CES 2017 expo to confirm the information on the Notebook Odyssey display. According to the representative of the South Korean consumer electronics manufacturer, the specs written on the display are accurate. This means that its upcoming gaming laptop will indeed come out with a Radeon RX 570.

The Redditor also mentions that an AMD representative confirmed that the rumored 500 GPU series is an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of the current RX 470 graphics card.

If the speculations are correct, the Radeon RX 570 graphics card could be an improved version of the RX 400 series that includes the latest Radeon RX 480 GPU. This means that it will come out with better specs made from the Polaris architecture and the AMD LiquidVR technology.

This could also mean that the fifth-generation Radeon GPU line will have at least 1266 MHz or 1120 MHz clock speeds and more than 5.8 TFLOPS upon release. It could also have a 224 GB memory bandwidth or higher than what the current version of the Radeon RX graphics processor in the market has. This could make Samsung's upcoming laptop more appropriate for playing high-definition video games upon release.

More details and specs about the Radeon RX 570 are expected to be announced by AMD in the public soon.
