Fans of the FX series "American Horror Story" are faithfully waiting for the official subtitle and theme of the upcoming season. However, none so far has been announced, although it has been teased.

Co-creator and showrunner Ryan Murphy said at PaleyFest that the new season will have "elements of children." The horror genre has been known to utilize children for scares, and this time around, their innocent behavior will be featured in "American Horror Story."

Murphy also admitted that they have not decided on a specific theme for season 6 because they're juggling two ideas at once. One thing, though, is for sure: Both ideas deal with children.

With that, rumors began circulating online about the possible setting of the upcoming season. Some have speculated that an orphanage will be utilized since it mainly houses children. Meanwhile, others have come to the conclusion that a boarding school will be the backdrop of season 6, especially since a previous "American Horror Story" character sent his child to one.

Of course, neither FX nor Murphy has confirmed these rumors. However, fans will be glad to know that there's more than a slim chance that pop superstar Lady Gaga will be returning to the show for next season.

Working with the pop sensation was admittedly intimidating for some of the cast members at first, but in actuality, Gaga was not at all like a spoiled diva. She was friendly and down to earth. Murphy even revealed that she would continuously study the dailies that didn't make the final cut in an effort to improve herself.

Other potential returning cast members include Denis O'Hare, Kathy Bates, Sarah Paulson, Angela Bassett, Wes Bentley, Matt Bomer and Cheyenne Jackson.

As for the premiere date of the FX horror anthology series, nothing has been officially announced. However, based on the pattern of previous seasons which have all come out in October, it is likely that "American Horror Story" season 6 will also premiere in that month.
