'Arrow' season 5 spoilers: Willa Holland dismisses rumors claiming new season is the series' swan song

(Facebook/CWArrow)Willa Holland claims there is no truth to rumor claiming "Arrow" season 5 will be the show's last.

Amidst the rumors that The CW DC series "Arrow" is taking a bow after its incoming season 5, one of the show's stars, Willa Holland, said that it will not be the case.

Speaking at the MCM London Comic Con at the Excel Centre in London last month, Holland, who plays the role of Arsenal on "Arrow," revealed that there's much more in store for her character in the series once it returns for its new season. When asked about the fate of the show after five years, Holland said that there is no truth to the speculations that the show will fold, at least, not anytime soon, reported Mirror

Speculations that "Arrow" would finally sing its swan song soon started floating when the series finally ended the flashbacks of Oliver Queen/Green Arrow (Stephen Amell). Apparently, though, there is more life to "Arrow" apart from those flashbacks.

"We're probably not going anywhere ... our show is like an onion, every season you open up another layer," said Holland. "From your guy's response, as well as the networks response to our show and the creation of all the others that are interlocked into another it's kinda going to be a never ending cycle for a while. I don't think anything is going to happen," she added.

"Arrow" season 4's finale episode featured Oliver Queen getting sworn as the interim mayor. Hence, he temporarily abandons his role as a hero. However, when the DC series returns for its fifth season run, things can only become more riveting for "Arrow" as it is speculated that Oliver Queen will trace his Bratva origin in Russia.

As the season finale of the series also featured the disintegration of the Arrow team, fans can look forward to seeing the members finding their respective places in the team and their individual lives. Nonetheless, according to Holland, this doesn't mean that the disbanding of Team Arrow is cut-and-dried.

"It's not like we're not going to be back together. Probably sooner than you think," Holland said.

"Arrow" season 5 is expected to air on The CW this fall.
