The anime and manga series "Attack on Titan" is extremely popular and has resulted in live action films being released to satisfy fans. However, when it comes to the second season of the anime, news that has emerged recently has pointed towards it being delayed.

Reporting on the second season of "Attack on Titan" which has been in the works for quite some time, The Bitbag states that it has been hit with a delay. As a result of this delay, the second season has been postponed "indefinitely." This is a clear indication that no release date for the second season will be announced in the near future.

There are also indications that because of this indefinite delay, the second season of the anime will not be releasing this year. However, this is not official news from the people engaged in developing the anime and the manga which it is based on.

Meanwhile, news has been circulating for months that the manga which provides much of the plot for the anime is proceeding slowly and this has also impacted the production of the second season of the anime show.

Fans however are growing impatient with the delay in the anime. Last year, a live action film was released, and while this managed to sate some passionate fans, others have been complaining about the delays. However, others have been quick to point out that they want a good quality second season and this will only happen if the anime is based on the manga. Also, there are indications that if the production of the second season of the anime is rushed, fans could have to deal with several filler episodes with low quality and they might abandon the show.

Finally, there are indications that in the second season, focus will be placed on Ymir who happens to be a former Titan. As part of this, viewers will learn more about Ymir and how the Titans, who prefer to feast on the flesh of men, were formed.
