After a long wait and various speculations, it seems that the anime series "Attack on Titan" season 2 will finally take shape as it is believed that it will be released in March next year.

Although it was not specified, it is speculated that the highly anticipated season 2 of "Attack on Titan" will finally be out in March 2017 as it was announced in an event that it will come out in spring next year. According to reports, the announcement was made during the "Attack Festival" live-reading event at the Tokyo International Forum held recently, which was participated by the voice actors of "Attack on Titan." It is said that the event also served as the venue for the tease of "Attack on Titan" season 2 with the unveiling of its visuals.

It has also been learned that Tetsuro Araki will be the chief director of "Attack on Titan" season 2, while Masashi Koizuka becomes the director of the anime series from just being an episode director in the past.

Meanwhile, according to other reports, production for "Attack on Titan" season 2 may commence anytime soon as it is believed that the script has finally been completed. Rumor has it that the upcoming "Attack on Titan" season 2 may be set in the countryside and its plot will involve politics as the government is said to be suspected as the culprit for the creation of the titans.

Contrary to what many believe, though, "Attack on Titan" season 2 may not be a continuation of its concluded season as the story of the upcoming season will completely run on a different storyline as there are also rumors saying that the anime series will deviate from its manga counterpart as far as the story is involved. However, other sources believe that this might not be the case as the reason for the delay of "Attack on Titan" season 2 could be due to its wait for substantial materials from its manga version.
