'Attack on Titan' season 2 release date, plot rumors: is the lack of materials causing release delays?

Fans are still looking forward to the release of "Attack on Titan" season 2, which is initially believed to happen in spring. Now, new reports suggest that this release might not happen sooner.

"Attack on Titan" director Tetsuro Araki and his team are said to be focusing more on the production of "Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress." This project reportedly interfered with plans for "Attack on Titan."

There were also reports suggesting that the manga series, which the animated series is based from, is only ahead by two story arcs. This would mean that there won't be enough story material for the animation that the team can work with, thus contributing to the delay.

But according to Yibada, this report is most likely false because the manga series' following story arcs, "Clash of the Titans" and "Uprising," would be enough to cover 25 episodes of a season. The news outlet continued that if there would be problems along the way, it would be technical issues and not lack of material.

This is purely speculation and there's also a chance that "Attack on Titan" season 2 was never delayed in the first place. It could be that the studio is carefully working on the project so that fans will have a quality animated series to watch.

The series is now rumored scheduled to be released in the second half of the year, which is yet to start so it's assumed that there will be plenty of time to incorporate finishing touches to the story. More udpates about "Attack on Titan's" second season are expected to be dropped soon.

Meanwhile, the new season of "Attack of Titan" is said to feature Commander Erwin, who will lose his arm in an attempt to rescue Eren Yeager. Not only will Erwin have his heroic moment, but he will also figure out something important about the king that will start a revolution to make sure the king loses his throne.
