'Attack on Titan' season 2 spoilers: air date moved to January 2017?

(Facebook/ShingekiNoKyojin.SNK)The titans' secrets will be revealed in "Attack on Titan" season 2.

Following initial reports that "Attack on Titan" season two will be released later this year, new reports suggest that the upcoming installment has once again been moved for a January 2017 premiere.

The hit anime has received praises from countries across the globe but fans are starting to get disappointed with the failure of production to provide official word regarding the new season's release.

Another disappointing report came out last week regarding the alleged further delay of the season. According to Game N Guide, Kodansha Comics reportedly announced that a new air date has been provided due to other projects. The second installment is now said to come early next year.

The outlet further reports that a possible reason behind the delay is director Tetsuro Araki's other projects. He is currently working on "Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress" and rumor has it that the said project has kept him from completing season two of "Attack on Titan."

However, Vine Report says recent talk suggests Araki has finally completed his duties for "Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress," which means he will most likely start focusing on "Attack on Titan."

Another issue that the series is purportedly faced with is the lack of solid direction regarding the plot of the second arc. According to The Bitbag, the producers reportedly said earlier that they are struggling to come up with enough storyline from the manga version. Without sufficient ideas from the manga, it would be hard to come up with a reasonable amount of storylines for the anime.

While there are four arcs needed for a season to push through, it was reported earlier this year that there are only two arcs completed. With only two arcs to work on, the anime might take longer to produce as there are still two arcs needed for production to start rolling.

Meanwhile, rumor has it that the new installment will entail the "Clash of the Titans" arc wherein Eren and the team will be faced with a mysterious group of Titans who appear inside the wall. There is no confirmation regarding the said rumor.
