Fans bid goodbye to "Attack on Titan" in 2013. Since then, they have been waiting patiently for season two to arrive.

It has been reported that production for the second season of "Attack on Titan" already began last year but it will probably take as long as next year before it is aired.

Fans who cannot wait that long to get their "Titan" fix will be happy to know that director, Tetsuro Araki, has two live-action "Attack on Titan" movies in the pipeline. The director discussed the movie in depth at a press conference he held and said that the two movies will cover the first season of "Attack on Titan."

However, some might be overwhelmed by the sheer number of episodes the anime has, which was the reason for the two-part live action adaptation. "Attack on Titan Part 1: Crimson Bow and Arrow" covers episodes 1 to 13 while "Attack on Titan Part 2: Wings of Freedom" covers episodes 14 to 25. The two films will be released on Aug. 1 and Sept. 19, respectively.

Araki also revealed during the press conference that the reason for the delay of "Attack on Titan's" second season is because Hajime Isayama's manga still does not have enough episodes to start a new season. "Attack on Titan's" second season will reportedly revolve around the 104th Trainees Squad's battle against the Titans that have breached the wall. The season will also touch on the Uprising that Erwin Smith will wage against the king.

New characters that are supposed to be introduced next season are Captain Kenny Ackerman, Uri, Rod and Frieda Reiss and the Beast Titan. There have been reports that the Beast Titan will emerge from Wall Rose, which was where the first season left off. This Titan is described as being 17 meters tall, has an ape-like appearance but can walk upright. It is also quite intelligent and can summon other Titans with its howl.
