'Avengers: Infinity War': What Thanos has to say

(Facebook / Avengers)The next two "Avengers: Infinity War" films will feature Thanos and the Infinity Stones.

The upcoming two-part "Avengers: Infinity War" has still about two years until the first film is shown, but the excitement continues to build up. While major things are still expected to happen, actor Josh Brolin who will play the main villain in the movies reveal he already knows the plot.

In an interview with Movie Fone he shared, "I sat at a table and I listened to the story from beginning to end, which was … you know, sometimes you go around and you go, 'Oh, it's a great movie. Or this is a great experience,' and you kind of know that it's not. This is the opposite."

Brolin will play Thanos on the show, a villain that has been shown and mentioned in several Marvel films. The character, also known as the Dark Lord, has been hinted at in several post credit scenes as well. As Marvel Cinematic Universe fans should know, post credits give way to future stories that may or may not directly be related to the film where it was shown.

Thanos has been featured in the movies "Guardians of the Galaxy" and "Thor." His appearances involve his search for the Infinity Stones that have been central to the plot of the said movies. There are six Infinity Stones in the Marvel Universe, some of which have also been featured in the past "Avengers" film.

His multiple appearances and minimal movie participations have in some ways built the expectations for "Avengers: Infinity War" because of the complexity of the story involved and possibility of major crossovers with more Marvel characters.

Brolin is aware of this and he said, "First of all, from a publicity point of view, or an interest, I've gotten more publicity playing Thanos, even though I haven't done it yet, than all other movies combined. If there's any blurb of publicity at all for me, it includes Thanos is some way or another."

There are speculations that the characters of "Guardians of the Galaxy" will play an important role in the upcoming "Avengers" installation. Many are hoping for the "X-Men" to be involved as well, but no official statement has been released yet.

Part 1 of "Avengers: Infinity War" is scheduled to hit theaters on May 4, 2018, followed by Part 2 on May 3, 2019.
