'Better Call Saul' season 3 air date, spoilers, news: The transformation of Jimmy to Saul to happen in the season

(Facebook/Better Call Saul)In the coming season of "Better Call Saul," viewers will witness the turning point of Jimmy McGill.

Viewers of the series are aware that "Better Call Saul" is a spin-off prequel to the life of a character first seen on "Breaking Bad." A major character that affected the life of Jimmy McGill (Bob Odenkirk) has been revealed to appear in season 3, and his transformation into Saul Goodman will happen as well.

The appearance of Gus Fring (Giancarlo Esposito) was supposed to be a big revelation in the upcoming episode, but fans of the show managed to spoil the surprise. Fans would recall him to be an illegitimate businessman who Saul Goodman served.

In "Better Call Saul," people get to see that the high-profile and often cunning lawyer has not always been the criminal lawyer involved in illegal transactions that he is when his character was first introduced to viewers. The spin-off series shows how his early struggles have affected the life he leads on "Breaking Bad."

Viewers have seen some of Jimmy's struggles and already know how his life crossed with some characters on the parent series. Together with the appearance of Gus, it has been revealed that Saul Goodman will also emerge.

However, the transformation may not happen immediately as Gus will not be shown right away. Executive producer Peter Gould has revealed in an interview with EW, "I would be very sad if people were expecting to see that character right away on season 3. Right now, this is a guy — I'm talking about Gus Fring — who often works very indirectly. This is not somebody who is not easy to access. On 'Breaking Bad' at times he was a little bit like the man behind the curtain, like the 'Wizard of Oz,' not so easy to get to see. So, none of this is to say that suddenly you're going to be seeing an awful lot of that character once we come back."

The relationship of Jimmy and his brother Chuck (Michael McKean) will also be explored and he is said to be a big part of his transformation into Saul.

"Better Call Saul" does not have a premiere date yet, but it is expected to air in 2017 on AMC.
