'Bones' season 11 spoilers: 'Psycho'-inspired villain

(Bones / Facebook)"Bones" season 5 episode 5 features Hodgins and his life on a wheelchair .

With the first half of "Bones" season 11 already finished, fans should expect more exciting things to happen in the next half of the season. One of these that's much anticipated is the introduction of a new villain.

According to showrunner Michael Peterson, this new villain is a cross between Alfred Hitchcock's "Psycho" villain and an "X-Files" episode entitled "Home." Peterson said that the particular episode from "X-Files," which included a deformed baby and the Peacock family, really gave him quite a scare. Moreover, he also said that the villain is reminiscent of Norman Bates from "Psycho."

Peterson also mentioned that the villain will be shown in various episodes of season 11. However, he will be formally introduced in episode 13.

Meanwhile, fans are speculating whether Hodgins (T.J. Thyne) will be able to recover from his paralysis or not. It could be remembered that he was fatally shot, causing him to be paralyzed.

Peterson confirmed in an interview on TV Line that they have no plans yet to make Hodgins recover from his paralysis. He said that fans should not expect "Bones" to follow the plot of "Downtown Abbey" where one of the main characters, Matthew, was able to walk again. One thing he assured "Bones" fans, though - that they "are in for a ride."

In another interview on TV Insider, Peterson also confirmed that "Bones" will have a season 12 and that this might also be the last season of the series. He said that they were grateful to Fox for giving them another season so they can give the characters a proper ending.

Season 12, he said, might deal with some story arcs in the first season which were quite unfinished. He added that they will "go back and watch that first season, and look at the magic that happened there; that dynamic between the characters, and grab as much of that feeling as you can."

"Bones " airs on Thursdays at 8 p.m. EST on Fox.
