There has been a plethora of speculations about the plot, cast and release date of Marvel's 'Captain America 3.'

Plot is still unknown at the moment as both Marvel and Disney have been mum about any details of the movie, except for its release date set for May 6, 2016.

Captain America 3 will be directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, who have just sat down with Yahoo for an exclusive interview.

The brothers first talked about what to expect about the relationship between best friends Bucky Barnes and Steve Rogers:

"The character was invented for an explicitly political purpose. So it's hard to get away from that nature," Anthony Russo told Yahoo.

It's also important to the directors that Captain America doesn't become another disillusioned antihero. As Joe sees it, "his morality is part of his superpower."

In an interview with SFX, screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely hinted that the third big adventure of the shield slinger superhero will be an amalgam of the first two films.

Markus also mentioned his desire to bring Modok's character into Captain America 3.

"There are people that I'm always wanting to bring in. I want to put Modok into something, but you can't just drop a giant floating head in!"

Reports saying that Falcon will be replacing Cap were also shot down immediately.

Sebastian Stan who plays Bucky is under contract for nine Marvel movies, sparking rumors that he will replace Chris Evans when he leaves the Marvel franchise and/or when Steve Roger dies.

The first two Captain America movies were massive success in the worldwide box office, with more than $1 billion in total earnings.

This is one of the reasons identified why Warner Bros and DC Entertainment's Batman v Superman moved its release date from May 6, 2016 to March 25, 2016.

With reports of Steve Rogers' possible death and Chris Evan's last Captain America film, the third installment is already stirring interest.

Contrary to earlier news, Evans is not retiring from Hollywood, but would like to shift gears and try his hands on directing.
