NBC's action drama "Chicago Fire" finally returns for a fifth season in October. While fans wait for the premiere, they can watch the newly released promo trailer.

NBC just dropped a powerful 15-second promo trailer tailored to the feel of Summer Olympics. The clip shows that Chicago Fire is a family tied together by their determination and drive to serve despite the several hardships they have to go through. It reminds viewers that although the fire fighters have to deal with their personal baggage, they continue to serve for the others.

The clip hints that it may still tackle the rift between Boden (Eamonn Walker) and Jimmy (Steven McQueen). Meanwhile, Dawson (Monica Raymund) and Casey (Kathleen Quinlan) may try their hardest to adjust to their new lives, even though it means with Louie (Aiden Cohen).

It was previously reported that the entire Chicago franchise will have a crossover this fall, but it isn't just any crossover; there is also another romance crossover. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Matt Olmstead revealed that Sylvie Brett (Kara Killmer) of "Chicago Fire" will have a romantic relationship with "Chicago PD's" Antonio Dawson (Jon Seda).

He explained, "There's plenty to play in terms of the May-December version of Brett to Antonio — his character has a couple kids, he's divorced, no way should he be with this woman, but she's had her heart broken. She's looking for a real man, he qualifies. He's looking for a real soul, a real heart, and she qualifies."

The previous crossover romance includes the failed relationship of PD's Lindsay (Sophia Bush) and Fire's Severide (Taylor Kinney). Fortunately for Severide's comrade Mouch (Christian Stolte), his relationship with PD's Platt (Amy Morton) ended up in marriage.

Actor Joe Minoso also revealed on Michigan Avenue that season 5 will focus on the fate of Severide and Kidd after the commotion in last season's finale. Dawson's role as an adopted mother will also be explored.

"Chicago Fire" season 5 premieres on Oct. 11 on NBC.
