'Chicago PD' season 4 episode 9 spoilers: Burgess encounters first problem since transfer

Burgess (Marina Squerciati) will encounter a setback on her first day in the Intelligence Unit in the upcoming second half of the current season of "Chicago P.D."
The synopsis for the next episode titled "Don't Bury This Case" is out. According to Spoiler TV, Burgess is ready to start work in her dream department. The former patrol officer is replacing Dawson (Jon Seda), who decided to leave the group and work as the lead investigator for the State Attorney's office. Voight (Jason Beghe) offered Burgess the position and she immediately accepted it. She has always wanted to work in intel alongside her friends, Lindsay and Halstead (Jesse Lee Soffer). Even her ex-fiance Ruzek (Patrick John Flueger) works there.
Although Burgess is positive she will like her new post, she will not factor in the fact that her new supervisor does not like her. Contrary to the speculations that Ruzek will be training Burgess, Voight has chosen someone else to do the job. Olinsky (Elias Koteas) has been tapped to assist the newbie and he does not like it one bit. He cannot say no to Voight's request though but he can still remember when Burgess caused problems between Ruzek and Roman (Brian Geraghty).
After a messy break-up with Ruzek, Burgess started dating Roman. Their relationship even got the attention of the higher-ups when he was shot while on assignment with her. Roman wanted to leave Chicago and start anew somewhere with Burgess. She chose to stay, though.
Now that she has the job she has always dreamt of, Burgess will do her best to make it work.
Sophia Bush, who plays Erin Lindsay in the NBC series, revealed in an interview that the transfer would not be easy, though.
"She will have to start at the bottom. She's being supervised by somebody who will certainly be able to make sure she's learning how to be a part of our unit in the right way," Bush told TV Guide.
"Chicago P.D." season 4 episode 9 will air on Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2017 at 10 p.m. EST on NBC.
