"Criminal Minds" never fails to surprise fans with its array of serial killers and character development stories. In episode 17 of season 10 titled "Breath Play", viewers will see the BAU track down a serial killer with sick homicidal sexual fantasies.

The long-running police procedural drama will show the BAU tracking a killer who indulges in "50 shades of pain" and resides in Wisconsin, reports Breathe Cast. The unit will analyze the killer's victims in order to find a connection between them and the murderer. This will enable them to make a profile of their Unsub and track him or her down. While the BAU is engaging in their regular practice of tracking murderers with a psychological problem, things don't look too good for seasoned agent Kate Callahan and her niece, Meg.

As per the episode's synopsis, Meg starts to act out and goes into a full-blown teenage rebellion. Fans might recall that Meg's parents died during 9/11 and Kate and her husband, Chris, took her in and raised her as their own. However, this doesn't mean that Meg doesn't suffer from abandonment issues. TVGuide reports that in episode 17, Meg realizes her aunt is with child, causing her to act out due to these issues.

Actress Jennifer Love Hewitt, who plays the role of agent Kate, is pregnant and writers of the show weaved the actress' pregnancy in Kate's story. Episode 17 onwards will follow the pregnancy story arc and will see Kate juggle her personal and professional life.

Executive producer Erica Messer explains Meg's behavior, "She's been acting out a little bit, and we reveal ... it's because Kate is gonna have a baby. The fact that she and Chris decide to have a baby rocks Meg a little bit. Even though she's been raised by amazing people, there's an underlying abandonment since her parents were killed when she was very young. She's trying to deal with that and being 13 and navigate the world and see her place in it."

TVLine also reports that CSI actor Marc Vann will guest-star in episode 18 as an FBI agent in the organized crime division assisting the BAU in a special investigation.

"Breath Play" airs on Wednesday, March 11 on CBS at 9 p.m. EST.
