A dangerous kidnapper is on the loose and the Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) will have to track him down in the upcoming episode of "Criminal Minds."

(Facebook/CriminalMinds)The BAU has a new case to crack in the upcoming episode of "Criminal Minds."

In "The Sandman," Hollywood Hills reports that the squad will be tapped to find the unsub who abducts children in the dead of the night. According to preliminary reports, the criminal patiently waits for the opportune time to kidnap his targets. When their parents are already sleeping, that is when he pounces. When they eventually wakes up, they will find that their precious children are already gone.

The alias Sandman is given to the unsub, which clearly references to his penchant for appearing while everyone is already asleep, just like the mythical creature. The BAU will have to come up with his profile to know what his next move will be. "The Sandman" will mark the 250th episode of the CBS series. Joe Mantegna, who plays David Rossi, will be directing. Episode 17 will reportedly be a two-part story, as it will end with a cliffhanger. Matthew Gray Gubler, who plays genius Dr. Spencer Reid, will direct episode 18.

"The Sandman" will also see Derek Morgan (Shemar Moore) hard at work to find out who is behind his abduction. Last episode, he was kidnapped by a group of hired hit men. They brought the agent to a remote cabin where they proceeded to torture him. In one of his hallucinations, Morgan even saw his father Hank (Danny Glover), who died a long time ago. He was a cop who was killed while in service. Morgan was 10 that time.

Hank served as his son's support and guide all throughout the ordeal. It was he who reminded Morgan that his girlfriend Savannah (Rochelle Aytes) was pregnant. The BAU eventually managed to rescue their colleague and friend. When Morgan woke up in the hospital and saw Savannah, he opened his heart and asked her to marry him. She agreed.

"Criminal Minds" season 11 episode 17 will air on Wednesday, March 16, at 9 p.m. EST on CBS.
