"Dancing with the Stars" season 22 will finally announce its winner tonight. Who among Nyle DiMarco and Peta Murgatroyd, Mark Ballas and Paige VanZant, and Ginger Zee and Valentin Chmerkovskiy will bring home the Mirror Ball trophy?

Through the course of the competition, the three finalists have been consistently earning high scores. In fact, all three have placed first so it is expected that the competition is going to be very close. When it comes to their average scores, VanZant leads with 26.5 points, DiMarco comes after with 26.4 points, and Zee averages 26 points.

Their scores' small gap may seem like it will not carry a heavy role in the competition. However, the ABC network's guidelines stated that the champion will be determined by the highest combined viewer plus the judges' scores from Monday to Tuesday nights.

In an interview with TV Guide, pro dancer Murgatroyd shared the strengths of the final 3.

The dancer described VanZant as a "great technician" on the dance floor. Aside from her incredible athleticism, the UFC fighter also has a great dancing background and an infectious charisma — needed qualities of a winner.

Zee, on the other hand, is the competition's dark horse. The Chief Meteoroligst on ABC News and a mom of one sure has a lot of things on her plate, but she still completes her dance routines very well. "She's grown so much to be a new mom and to be a sexy diva," Murgatroyd said.

However, a lot of experts believe that DiMarco will most likely win the title tonight. He is not only the crowd's favorite but he also actually delivers stellar performances despite the fact that he cannot hear the music.

"We're going to tell Nyle's life story through our dance and how much he loves being deaf," Murgatroyd teased. "He's 100 percent confident in who he is. Hopefully people see him as a champion."
