The third installment for "Daredevil" is confirmed and fans will just have to wait for what happens next to the hero of Hell's Kitchen. And with the excitement continuously rising to great heights, Charlie Cox had some news to share.

Speaking at a Wizard World Chicago panel, the actor explained that "Daredevil" season three will have a definite link to the events that will take place in "The Defenders," the upcoming series that sees Cox's Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist coming together as team.

According to MCU Exchange, Cox said: "He [Daredevil] can't do this alone. And that's to say maybe some teamwork - He's actually going to relinquish [some responsibility]. So whatever lessons he learns in The Defenders will then play into I think season three."

It would indeed be interesting to see what lessons Matt Murdock will learn when he joins other heroes to save the day. His remarks about giving up some sort of responsibility is also intriguing. Could this mean that he won't be the leader of the "Defenders" team? If so, who will lead the way and why isn't the amazing Matt Murdock fit to be the leader?

"Daredevil" started all the interest in other lesser heroes in the Marvel expanded universe, and it would be something very interesting for fans to watch if he is ousted by one of the new faces that will hit small screens. On the other hand, his being a follower could also increase the respect that fans have for Hell's Kitchen's mysterious hero.

Since "The Defenders" is expected to arrive sometime 2017, viewers can expect "Daredevil" season three to be pushed to a later premiere date. This is especially true since all three heroes in the said series will also have their own solo shows. Some reports suggest that puts the third season of Murdock's solo franchise to most likely be out by 2018 the earliest.
