After the success of Marvel's recently released "Deadpool" film, many are curious to see what the upcoming sequel is going to bring to the big screens. 

Ryan Reynolds recently starred in "Deadpool," portraying the fan favorite comic book character with ease. With his performance, the film became the high grossing ever for R-Rated releases. Because of this, there is a lot of anticipation for "Deadpool 2."  

It was confirmed that a second "Deadpool" movie can be expected in the near future. This was teased in the post-credits scene of the first movie, where Reynolds' character hinted that the sequel could bring another iconic character, Cable.  

Avid comic book fans are aware that Cable is a time-travelling mutant who could add some fun elements to the upcoming film. The co-screenwriter of the film, Rhett Reese, explained that the presence of the new character will bring exciting things to "Deadpool 2."  

Reese stated, "There's a lot of fun in that he's very serious and he does take on more serious weighty issues than Deadpool's used to taking on so I think there's a juxtaposition there that can be fun."

Though there has yet to be any official source stating who will portray the upcoming character, there are a lot of rumors pointing to one man. It is believed that the producers of "Deadpool 2" are hoping to see Kyle Chandler take the role of Cable.  

Chandler is popularly known for his television roles on the Netflix original "Bloodline," and "Friday Night Lights." He has also taken part in big films such as "The Wolf of Wall Street" and "Carol."  

These speculations have been going on since the release of the movie "Deadpool." However, no updates have been made which confirm the news. With that, fans will just have to keep on waiting to see if Chandler will really be the one to play the upcoming role. 

"Deadpool 2" is expected to begin production next year.
