'Deadpool 2' release date news and spoilers: Six actresses initially chosen for Domino

(FOX movies)Wade Wilson and his alter-ego "Deadpool" will be back for another big screen adventure with some more of their X-Men friends.

Fans of superhero movies will be excited to hear that the "Merc With A Mouth" is coming back to big screens.

The previous movie, "Deadpool," will be coming out with a sequel called "Deadpool 2." The original screenwriters, Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, will be back with director Tim Miller, as well as the star of the film, Ryan Reynolds.

The previous movie grossed more than $750 million globally, which put them at first place for highest-grossing R-rated film. This reportedly gives a boost to Reynolds' career when compared to his old superhero movie "Green Lantern" which wasn't a big success. There was no question if there would be a sequel for "Deadpool" because the success was too much for them not to continue.

Wernick and Reese confirmed it's highly possible that Cable will be having his debut in the upcoming "Deadpool 2." According to IndieWire, Wernick said: "Yeah, we're on that path [Cable]. We teased him in the coda, we're sticking to those plans and are having a great time writing."

One major question fans want the answer to is: Who is going to be playing the mutant character Cable? There has been much speculation but there are no official announcements on who it might be so far.

Another character that will be revealed in the new movie is Domino. The filmmakers have not announced who would be playing her, but they gave fans a list of contenders. At first, they narrowed the list down to six actresses, namely, Lizzy Caplan, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Sienna Miller, Sofia Boutella, Stephanie Sigman, and Sylvia Hoeks. Now, they have added four other actresses, specifically, Kelly Rohrbach, Eve Hewson, Ruby Rose, and Mackenzie Davis. It seems like they want to keep their options open with all these talented women.

Simon Kinberg, the producer of the film, mentioned in a Collider interview that the shooting for "Deadpool 2" will start in the first few months of 2017. The expected release date for the movie is Jan. 12, 2018.

More news about "Deadpool 2" should be available in the weeks to come.
