'Deadpool 2' release date: Sequel to Ryan Reynolds' blockbuster expected June 2018

(Facebook/Deadpool Movie)Rumor has it that "Deadpool 2" will be shown in June 2018.

Ryan Reynolds recently uploaded a fan-made poster of "Deadpool 2," and it has caused fans to believe that the already announced sequel for his surprising blockbuster early this year will be released in 2018.

The said fan-made poster shows a bathroom sign bearing the symbols of a standing man and a disabled one sitting on a wheelchair, which have been altered to appear like Wolverine and Professor X, respectively. The word man is also seen being affixed with "X" by a hand believed to be that of Deadpool. It, likewise, bears the words "Coming Soon," with the words in much smaller font below it, saying "Soon, as in 2018."

While it has already been announced that "Deadpool" is getting a sequel, the exact date of its release remains unknown at this point in time. However, if the movie is, indeed, getting released in 2018, it is likely to arrive in summer that year.

Collider reports that Marvel has two unnamed films booked for a release in 2018: one for March 2, and the other for June 29. However, according to the publication, it is likely that the latter date is reserved for "Deadpool 2."

Apart from the showing date, other details of the upcoming sequel are also being kept under wraps. By far, the only thing that the fans know is that the movie will feature Cable as the movie's antagonist. Nonetheless, even information on the actor who will breathe life to the said character is also being kept away from public knowledge.

At the wake of "Deadpool's" success last February, Stephen Lang expressed his desire to play the role of Cable in the upcoming sequel and even campaigned on his Twitter account to increase his chances of bagging the role.

It was also reported that Dolph Lundgren is also willing to accept the role in the event that it lands on his lap.
