The sixth and final season of PBS' "Downton Abbey" premiered late in September and while fans are still reeling from the news that the current run for the series would be its last, they have been eager to see the return of the much beloved Crawleys. Unsurprisingly, the debut received not only acclaimed reviews from critics but also a viewership of more than 10 million people.

The cast and crew have reassured their audiences that the current season would be everything every fan has ever wanted from "Downton Abbey." Grant Neame, executive producer for the series, has since spoken out about the decision, revealing that the rest of season 6 is exactly how he has always envisioned his project to end.

"When I look at how this final season is coming together across the whole six, in general terms it's exactly the idea that I pitched and hoped that I could convince Julian to come and create," he said. "In broad terms it is exactly what I'd imagined ... I think it's going to be a show that is remembered for a long time, part of this reinvention of the genre."

True enough, the production has made good with their promise as the upcoming fourth episode would see the return of a familiar face.

In the previews of the upcoming broadcast, Gwen Dawson is featured entering Downton Abbey. Dawson, who is played by Rose Leslie famous for her role in "Game of Thrones" as the wildling Ygritte, was last seen during the first season run. She was a housemaid that made it out of servitude because of her hard work and impeccable work ethic. The last she was mentioned, she took a job as a secretary, thus needing to leave the household.

"Downton Abbey" season 6 episode 4 is scheduled to air on Oct. 11.
