'Dragon Quest Heroes' gameplay, release date: Slime Collector's Edition and one other edition releasing; release date confirmed by Square Enix

Recently Square Enix confirmed the release date of "Dragon Quest Heroes" and announced details of a Day One edition and also a Slime Collector's Edition. As for game it will arrive in America on October 13th this year and will be released on October 16th in the United Kingdom.

Details about the release and the collector's edition surfaced on the Square Enix website where their respective prices were also revealed. The Day One Edition is priced at $59.99 while the Slime Collector's Edition has a price tag of $100. For those who are not interested in either edition the standard version of the game costs $60.

The Day One Edition will give players access to 11 items that form part of the Slime Weapon set. These include a Goomerang, Gooey Gloves, Slime Sword, Squishing Rod and Gungenir. Importantly these items will be available as downloadable content.

As part of the Slime Collector's edition Square Enix is offering the main game along with several physical items such as a Slime Plushie, Slime Lanyard and Slime Key Chain which will come packaged in a Premium Treasure Box. In addition all the downloadable content will be included. It will bring weapons such as the Slime-on-a-Stick, Gooreat Sword, Goopid's Bow, Squishing Rod, Gungenir, Slime Sword, Gooey Gloves, Goomerang, and Splat O'Nine Tails. Finally there are going to be two playable maps titled Gold-Digger's Map and Happy Map included.

"Dragon Quest Heroes" comes with a long official title "Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree's Woe and the Blight Below" and it was released in Japan in February of this year when it was also confirmed for release in North America. However when the game releases in North America it will be a PlayStation 4 exclusive whereas in Japan it released for the PlayStation 3 also. After a trailer for the game released recently it was revealed that the game will focus more on action and attempt to continue with RPG formula that was used in the game "Hyrule Warriors" created by Nintendo.
