On Monday, Jinger Duggar announced on the Duggar clan's official website that she is dating soccer player Jeremy Vuolo.

According to U.S. Weekly, the reality star and the athlete said in a video: "We're happy to announce that we are officially courting! Which means as opposed to a more casual dating relationship, we really want to honor the Lord and be very intentional about how we move forward."

Jinger is 22 and Jeremy is 28. The outlet says the pair met in May, after which they ventured on a mission trip together. Jinger said she saw Jeremy's heart and character during the mission trip. Right after their time together, Jeremy asked Jim Bob for permission to court his daughter.

Jeremy's father is a pastor from Downington, Pennsylvania. Aside from being an ordained minister, Jeremy is also a Syracuse University alum who played for the San Antonio Scorpions as a goalie.

Meanwhile, fans believe that Jinger's dating story can possibly take away the attention of the media and public from Josh Duggar's scandals and issues that led to the cancellation of "19 Kids and Counting."

On the other hand, there are recent reports that Anna Duggar is in a tight spot as a new molestation allegation has reportedly graced the Christian family. According to Inquisitr, Anna feels blindsided by the new allegation as she chose to stick with her husband despite last year's scandals.

Recent reports say a new lady has contacted the Duggars to let them know that Josh had inappropriately touched her in the past. Though the claims have not been proven, the accusation is just one of Josh's molestation scandals that rocked the Christian world last year.

Some also believe that the latest issue is the reason why TLC has not yet announced a second season for "Jill & Jessa: Counting On," which stars Josh's sisters and family as they journey on through the storms of life.

It is unclear if Anna and Josh will address the accusation but it is more likely that the couple will remain mum until the reports fade away.
