'Empire' season 2 episode 4 spoilers: Jamal and Hakeem resolve their differences; Cookie's new love interest arrives

"Empire" season 2 started off with a bang that ended with the Lyons divided. Cookie's (Taraji P. Henson) decision to start her own label has placed her at odds with her ex-husband and her son. The war between the two empires doesn't appear to be ending anytime soon, but a truce might be in the horizon in episode 4, titled "Poor Yorick."

It's been reported that the two "Empire" scions, Jamal (Jussie Smollett) and Hakeem (Bryshere Y. Gray), will set their sibling rivalry aside temporarily as they collaborate on a music video for their duet. The two will allegedly perform this next episode. And based on the promo materials, it appears the two have chosen a "Mad Max" Thunder Dome-esque vibe.

Lucious (Terrence Howard) appears to still be riding high over his release, but that might all changes as his building is raided by the FBI. While that might not faze him, as evidenced by his high-five with Mimi Whiteman (Marisa Tomei), he's still worried that Vernon (Malik Yoba) might tattle on him, prompting him to look for the poor man, not knowing that Vernon's already dead. The Lyon patriarch also has other things to worry about, like Prosecutor Roxanne Ford (Tyra Ferrell).

It's been reported that Cookie will be getting a new love interest this season and it seems that viewers will finally meet him next episode. The promo video shows the always-mesmerizing Cookie meeting concert promoter and possible lover Adam Rodriguez. However, the clip also shows her being picked up by the police, maybe the prosecutor's way of getting evidence against Lucious so she can finally lock him up for good.

There's a possible red herring at play with Andre (Trai Byers). Lucious' eldest son has been doing his darnest to get back in his father's good graces, but would digging up Vernon's body do the trick? Fans will recall that Andre's wife Rhonda (Kaitlin Doubleday) killed Vernon and the couple covered it up.

To find out what fresh drama the Lyons will be facing next, fans should tune in to "Empire" season 2's fourth episode when it airs on Oct. 14.
