'Empire' season 3 spoilers: Shyne to cause trouble for Lucious; younger-years romance with Cookie will be told

(Empire / Facebook)'Empire' season 3 premieres in fall on Fox.

There will be a lot of revelations when "Empire" season three hits small screens as recent reports confirm that Shyne will return to most likely cause difficulties for the already shaken Lucious.

According to Design & Trend, it has been confirmed that Xzibit, who played Shyne Johnson during the finale of season two, will be part of the cast as a series regular. While it is unclear how he will affect Lucious (Terrence Howard) in the upcoming episodes, it is already expected that he will put up a fight against his archenemy.

Showrunner Ilene Chaiken has previously hinted that Lucious and Shyne have a long history of feuds as Lucious once betrayed Shyne in the past. Chaiken further teased that Shyne is one dangerous enemy since he isn't afraid to die and not even worried about landing himself behind bars.

Meanwhile, TV Line recently reported that Lucious and Cookie's (Taraji P. Henson) romance when they were younger will also be seen in "Empire" season three. Though the two have been staying together for the sake of their clan's money, fans saw Cookie finally getting done with Lucious' decisions.

Cookie was specifically dismayed after Lucious decided to marry Anika (Grace Gealey), the woman carrying Hakeem's (Bryshere Gray) child. This only means Lucious will be the father of his son's child and Cookie doesn't like the idea of a rather intertwined family.

The actor and actress portraying the young Cookie and the young Lucious have yet to be revealed but Cookie's younger version is described as a "beautiful but innocent Catholic schoolgirl" while the young Lucious "possesses an incredible voice and his own sense of style." How the two will meet is surely an interesting story for fans to see.

Meanwhile, rumors are still hot on who will be declared dead when season three premieres. Anika and Rhonda (Kaitlin Doubleday) finished off their fistfight on the balcony in the previous season with one of them supposedly falling off.

According to Inquisitr, many believe that it was Rhonda who fell, based on Andre's (Trai Byers) reaction when he saw the fighting women. Another hint that fans point to is executive producer Sanaa Hamri's remarks regarding Andre witnessing a death that will affect him deeply.

"Empire" season three will hit FOX on September 21, 2016.
